Kelly Braffet was born in Long Beach, California, in 1976 and
has lived in Arizona, rural Pennsylvania, and Oxford, England. She
has a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and an M.F.A. from Columbia
University. She lives in Brooklyn, New York, and is at work on her
second novel, to be published in 2006 by Houghton Mifflin. Mariner
books published her first novel, “Josie and Jack”, in 2005, and it
