李亚宾，1976年毕业于北京师范大学外语系英语专业，毕业后在北京语言大学任教。1982—1983年赴美国加利福尼亚大学圣克鲁斯分校进修英美文学。1989年在英国伊林高等教育学院（现名泰晤士河谷大学）获得英语文学硕士学位。1990年回国后长期从事雅思听力教学及教材的编写工作。除深受几代“烤鸭”好评的“黑眼睛”《IELTS考试技能训练教程·听力》外，还著有《雅思预备教程·听力》《非常雅思高分训练：听力专题特训 高频词汇快速突破》等。

李晓利，1998年在南开大学英语系获得学士学位，2001年在清华大学英语系获得硕士学位。此后一直在北京语言大学任教，其间作为访问学者先后到英国南安普顿大学和雷丁大学进修。著有《国家公派留学人员英语统考教程·写作》《非常雅思高分训练：阅读专题特训 高频词汇快速突破》等。

《雅思预备教程·听力》是专门为准备参加雅思考试的高中毕业生、大学低年级学生或水平相当者而编写的。通过对此教材的学习，考生能够清楚地了解雅思听力考试的要求和题型，在此基础上做针对性强的雅思听力练习，并为进入雅思考前强化培训班学习或者自学各种雅思强化教材打下语言基础。

本教程按照雅思听力考试的内容分为五个单元进行练习。在提供语言和英语国家社会文化背景知识的同时重点培养学生边听边记的能力，改变听完后再做题的习惯。

第一单元 以练习人名、地名和国家名称为主，通过字母游戏和日常对话的形式帮助考生熟悉26 个字母及其在实际生活中的应用，了解英国的城市和地区。

第二单元 以数字练习为主，通过数字游戏和与数字有关的日常对话等形式听写数字、电话号码、时间、日期，并帮助考生了解英国的主要节假日。从第二单元开始增加边听、边读、边记的综合能力训练。

第三单元 生存英语（Survival English），提供一些日常生活用语及语言场景，如在购物、看病、问路、订房间、旅游、听新闻等日常生活中的对话练习。

第四单元 科普文章（Popular Science），目的在于扩大考生的知识面和词汇量并提高考生对学习英语的兴趣。内容包括科普文章和社会生活中的趣闻，如爆米花的由来、蚂蚁的冬天、澳大利亚的考拉、发明电报的人、发明飞机的两兄弟等。

第五单元 学术英语（Academic English），以在学校的各种活动及语言场景为题材，如听讲座、参加讨论、去图书馆借书、使用计算机等，目的是帮助考生了解在国外学习的情况，提供有关的词汇和学习技巧。

五个单元的练习后面提供一套模拟试题，帮助考生运用所学的语言知识与应试技巧，检测学习效果，及时查漏补缺。
