Section A
Directions: In this section, there is a passage with ten blanks. You are required to select one word for each blank from a list of choices given in a word bank following the passage. Abraham Lincoln summed up his early years on the frontier in Kentucky and Indiana as “the short and simple history of the poor.” Lincoln’s earliest recollections (回忆) were of the Kentucky farm where he moved in 1811 with his parents, Thomas and Nancy, and sister, Sarah.
