　　Sandra’s mom escaped
China’s communist regime after WWII, then hopped on a freighter to
Argentina. After months at sea she arrived in Buenos Aires – two
days after Evita’s death (1952). Mourning workers meant luggage
wasn’t processed for a week. Sandra’s dad had a better welcome in
1955. Sandra’s parents met, got married and had two kids (Sandra
was one of them). In 1974 Argentina was in turmoil, so once again
the family emigrated to greener pastures – this time the USA.
