医学英语视听说Ⅰ（大学专业英语系列教材）

　　本教材从国外英语广播和电视节目中选取与医学相关的材料，基于可视材料，设计出各种听力、口语训练题型，通过训练，提高医学生的医学英语反应能力，为医学生进入医学专业学习打下坚实的医学英语听、说基础。册主要是面向医学院校完成基础阶段英语学习任务、尚未进入临床阶段学习的医学生，通过册教材的学习，医学生能够基本听懂用英语讲授的基础医学课程，能用英语基本陈述所听到的医学观点、医学知识。

　　Genetics is the study of genes， units of heredity and it is closely related to biochemistry， medicine， and evolution. A genetic disease may or may not be a heritable disorder. For some of the strong personal or family history of certain diseases， such as cancer， genetic testing is necessary to help to lower the risk and increase chances of survival. Genetic engineering is a very young， thrilling， and controversial area in the fi eld of biological sciences. It offers the possibility of both benefi ts， such as cures for diseases， diversity of material improvements to our life， and dangers， such as the loss of genetic and species diversity by the destruction of natural habitats. It can be a blessing as well as a curse. How to make good use of it is a thought-provoking question.
