《商务英语报刊选读》是“通识教育系列丛书”之一,第 1版上市后,受到了广大教师和学习者积极肯定的评价。我也经常收到全国各地使用此教材的老师们的邮件。随着全球经济一体化和中国对外开放的进一步扩大,中国正以更快的步伐融入全球化的浪潮中。我国日益频繁的对外商务交往需要培养大量英语基础扎实、同时精通国际商贸知识的高素质的复合型商务英语人才。《商务英语报刊选读》一书能够为中国商务英语人才的培养略尽绵薄之力,我感到由衷的高兴。
高校商务英语的人才培养主要目的是让学生熟练应用商务英语,而单纯的语言练习不能满足这种需要。《商务英语报刊选读》的宗旨是培养专业的商务英语人才,使他们向通晓国际经贸基本知识和实务的方向发展,成为具有较强沟通能力、应用能力和较高综合素质的复合型商务英语专门人才。
《商务英语报刊选读》第 2版充分考虑市场需求并广泛吸取各方建议,以提高学生的语言技能,在第 1版的基础上,以扩充专业知识,培养应用能力为宗旨,对部分章节予以压缩、更新,将第 1版的 15个单元,压缩成为更精华的 11个单元;选取目前热门的商务话题,完善部分单词和注释,更新部分内容,突出时代性和实用性,从而更好地满足教师和学习者的需要,充分发挥语言实践课教材的作用。
