后记
Chapter Four will mainly focus on Duffy’s writing art from the feminist point of view by analyzing her use of dramatic monologue, postmodern feminist parody and her use of language for feminist ends. This chapter mainly serves as a generalization of the most important features found in her writing.
Based on the analysis in the four chapters, the book will sum up the main findings in the Conclusion. First of all, it is found that Duffy has been influenced by the second wave feminist activists, being able to find patriarchy as the cause for women’s oppression, to find ways in wliich women subvert patriarchy, and realize the complexity of the relationship between men and women. Secondly, as a lesbian, a mother, and a daughter, Duffy is able to discover women’s identity in lesbians, mothers, and mother-daughter relationships. Thirdly, Duffy has shown eco-feminist awareness in her poetry.
