本书上篇全面回顾了我国综合评价理论研究的思想方法历史，总结了综合评价的八大要素体系，并依此构建综合评价研究框架。着重讨论了综合评价三大基础理论—指标处理理论、权数理论与集成理论。本书下篇总结团队近年来的**研究成果，重点研究了BoD权数的构造、主客体分组情形下的群组评价，以及区间信息、模糊信息与函数型数据的综合评价前沿理论问题。撰写过程中突出了理论方法的基础性与通用性，实践应用的简捷性与规范性，在相关理论问题的探讨中，试图融合统计学、管理决策、系统学科等领域的思想方法，以期推进综合评价学界共同学术话语体系的达成。
